Ayatul Kursi Read Listen Overview
Ayatul Kursi, the 255th verse of the Quran's second chapter, Surah Baqarah, is a powerful and revered verse that highlights the Power and Sovereignty of Allah SWT. Regarded as one of the most excellent verses in the Quran, it is believed to confirm the greatness of God when recited. According to hadith, reciting Ayatul Kursi after every prayer is thought to grant entry to paradise. Hazrat Ibn Masood (RA) described it as loftier than anything in the skies or on earth, in Jannat or Jahannam.
Considered the chief of the Ayats of the Quran Kareem by Hazrat Ali (R.A), Ayatul Kursi is highly esteemed. Abu Huraira narrated a hadith where reciting Ayat Al-Kursi before sleep ensures Allah's protection until dawn. The pinnacle of the Qur’an, as mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), resides in Surat Al-Baqarah, particularly in Ayat Al-Kursi.
